afternoon all woke this morning with my arm aching and now its bright red and inflamed so I'll have to start on the anti-bios to get the infection down lyphodema is a real nuisance as it can go for months and be o.k. then for no apparent reason it flares up.Whats even more of a nuisance is I have my mammogram checkup late afternoon so i know the breast care nurses will fuss and I hate anysort of fussing. Its not as though I can cover it up at all i can't get my arm sleeve on to bring it down either Good job I always have a set of anti bios in the house Its the only thing that brings the infection down Grr I could do without this right now as i have so much to do.Still can't be helped I suppose just have to soldier on and with luck the swelling will be down by Monday.I only have just over a week to go before I go away so its got to be better by then
Hope everyone is faring o.k. I may be lurking for awhile as its a bit difficult to type with one hand takes ages :) Take care all

Hi again Ladies, well after pacing round the house for what has felt like an eternity I have not long recieved a call from the vet school. The op has gone well and my darling woofer is doing well. :j:j I burst into tears once they told me that he was ok.:o:o.
He is still filled to the brim with sedative and pain relief but early signs are looking good. He has his own nurse which he wont milk much;););) and is on 15 min obs throughout the rest of today and through the night. Have been told that I can ring at anytime to check on him. Its going to be really hard not to be on the phone every 5 mins but I will resist. Fingers crossed he will be coming home tomorrow afternoon.
So relieved, will let you all know if there is any change but as it stands I am signing off now very very happy:)

    Afternoon all

Bramble - well done on the weight loss, you are doing WW right? Have you seen the WW thread on the Health&Beauty board?

I didn't get a chance to post yday - had all day meeting in west wales, then had uni for few hours, then went out for a meal with my friend.

Another busy day today. It was my horrible work kids last day :j, they had their presentation to do and in fairness they did really well. I was proud of them. I will miss a few of them, but a group they were a pain! Sadly my minibus had a little fight with a railing and now has a big scratch/gouge out of one side!! whoops! I rung my boss full of apologies but she was fine as long I wasn't hurt. Taking it in to be looked at tomorrow.

Despite me saying I won't study again after PGCE I have just enrolled on a course to become a Basic Skills Literacy tutor! :) I must be mental cos it starts 2wks before PGCE ends, but it was like fate getting on course. In the meeting yday there was a lady there filling in for someone else, she is the tutor for the course and I have met her a few times through work, I mentioned that I was contemplating BS course in future and she said she had one starting now and I could have a fully funded place if I enrolled this week :D it normally costs £500. It's a year long course, but only 3 hrs on a Monday evening and it breaks for school hols.

I need to do uni work tonight, assignment due on weds next week, but I'm away mon-weds so need to finish it asap! Halfway there though.

OS wise - LO takeaway for tea, dishes to wash.

    Have a good evening all

Just grabbing a few moments to let you know that I am still breathing.
We have had a very poorly rabbit for three weeks, he has a nasty case of snuffles:( made worse because he is 8 years old. We have just picked him up from the vet, they kept him in because he had to go on a drip because he can't drink and so got very dehydrated, it is costing an arm and a leg  and we know that we could lose him, but at least we know that we are doing all that we can. He has to go back to the vet tomorrow morning to check on his progress.
Uolypool glad to hear that woofer is doing ok. I am another soppy moo and cry when my pets are poorly, they are family too (((Hugs)))
Pen Pin I know what you mean about sore joints in this weather, it is playing hell with my arthritis as well (((Hugs))) x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Disaster......I'm just back from cleaning and knocked their hoover over and the handle snapped off :eek::eek::eek:. So have just ordered another one for them.....so that 2hours cleaning cost me 35:eek:, I left my cleaning money on the side, felt too guilty to take it :o.

Hope the day improves....Oh and came home to dog poo in the kitchen....seconds thougts bitsy i might join you and !!!!!! off to bed :o

Oh! BargainB, from someone who spent many years having a cleaner, I would never expect them to replace or repair, anything accidentally damaged, and certainly never let them not have their wages. Maybe that is why she fits my ironing in still from time to time.

((hugs)) to all those under the weather, or having poorly kids, animals, or just CBA'd. Strange isn't it they the damp weather affects joints as one gets older, even if they theoretically OK, I felt like I was walking with two props. P-Pin lovely to see you posting again, hope the meds kicked in.

All action stations here, departing for the sun again on Saturday. Might be able to get my washing dry there. Did a weeks shop for DS & GF at Aldi, saves them as there local is a Waitrose. Calling in on them on the way down to the tunnel. Looks like a very wet journey on the Saturday and Sunday though it does start to improve Pau when we leave their Monday morning.

Had two days car-less as needed to get a just found oil leak fixed under warranty which expires at the end of the month, had to have the engine and gear box out. Just what we needed when sorting.

    Take care all. DG
