Morning Guys!
Very slow morning here for me. Rough night and think the weather is making joints more painful than usual. Nurses were in just after 7, so have been medicated, washed, dressed and breakfasted. Had left over mince lamb couscous:D
WM and DW are both on atm and dinner later will be chilli con carne, rice and salad.
Anyway, hope all is well with everyone.

Morning ladies, chilly here again.Woofer needs TPLO surgery done
:(. My poor poor baby.So he is sedated and ready to go.Have just had a long chat with the surgeon that is performing the op, about complications etc and recovery. Having been through it with my sisters dog twice last year definately know what the next 6-8 weeks are going to be like for him and me. He is going to hate not being able to bound around . Am sitting in the car crying
:o
. daft soppy mare.
He is staying at the vets school tonight and hopefully we can pick him up tomorrow. Will be lost without him. They have said that he will need to be caged whilst recovering .I dont think he has ever up till now been put into a cage.Oh fun and games in our house
;).
So not alot will be going on here for the next few weeks except for lots of money not being spent I hope as wont leave him on his own for to long. Its worse than when one of the kids are ill. Sorry for my rambling post. Will come back later and post a more understandable post:)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

Hope the pain lessens later for you. This weather is not helping any of . far less those who are ill already.
I have just been making vegetable cous cous for my 18 year old dd to take for lunch. She has a few free periods this morning so DH will drive her to 6th form.
DH has been out to get a prescription and says it is horrible out there and suggests I do not go out in it. For once I might listen to him;)
Went to L*dl yesterday and stocked up on milk , veg, fruit etc and I managed to get a nice heavy non stick wok and also a 6.5 litre stockpot so very pleased. The stockpot is the one Shirley Goode mentioned she was going to buy when I looked on her blog a few days ago. If it's good enough for her then it should do well for me.
Waiting for books I ordered on cholesterol and high blood pressure to arrive as I want to reduce both on DH. In the meantime he is getting as much veg, fruit and fish, low fat and special spread as I can get him.
Made a sweet potato and red pepper soup the other day thinking it would be really healthy - and everyone, including dds love it. Just hope I can remember what I did as I did not use a recipe.
Tonight will be potato and leek soup (using new stockpot) and either home made burgers or a shepherds pie with lots of onion, carrots, mushroom, peppers , chopped tomatoes and some lentils and a handful of oats in it. Freezer is full of YS chicken and plain fish as well as beef and lamb mince and some quorn pieces so we are going to eat even more healthily.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Morning everyone.
Grey skies here, dry at the moment although rained overnight. Everything so muddy though.....not what you want really with a puppy who keeps running over the garden and veggie patch
Anyway I am sitting in bliss on my new sofa in the conservatory. I've only been waiting for a comfy chair in here since it was built  I am enjoying every minute of it. Only wish I didn't feel so tired as the temptation to snuggle down to the sounds of Lunas snoring is very strong :rotfl:
Anyway not loads of OS, BM is on as is DW and WM and I have no idea about tea
still it can only get better from here :rotfl:
Hugs and spoons all round.
Bramble well done on the WL :TI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Morning
Glad bump is progressing Lou, sorry about eyes, ears etc, why do these things all come at once? Guess we all get run down with such busy lives.
Uoly hope all goes well for woofer, its horrible when they are not there.
Wet and windy here today, will have to get waterproofs out before work. Found out yesterday that my coat leaks!
OS WM nearly finished will have to go on airer today, DW on should be done before I leave. Ironing mountain growing must tackle that this evening. Dinner tonight will be lasagne or cottage pie, depends on what kids want for tea. Got sauce out of freezer its half of what we had last week.
Thoughts to all.Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

Afternoon peoples!
Uolypool - You're not soft/daft, i reckon we'd all be the same. I'm ridiculously silly with my cats. Hope he gets better soon
So last nights OS just consisted of ironing in front of the tv watching the footy with OH. Quite enjoyable actually!
We also put all the stuff out of the garage into our newly insulated/boarded loft!!!! Finally, things are beginning to take shape in Chateau JWAH!
I have the most beaut LO for lunch - mussels in creamy spaghetti/garlic type sauce - almost bordering on moules mariniere but without the wine and mussel shells!
Tonights tea is LO brown rice & peas with..............? Probably fish fingers as I forgot to get stuff out of the freezer.
OS - will be cleaning the bathroom tonight inc doing the shower screen with vinegar (OH remarked last night, "what did we do before we discovered white vinegar???!!!!) and hoovering up (again) all the little paw-shaped litter prints from two very lazy cats who cant be bothered to go outside in the day and pee!!!! BM will be on too, might make some more french sticks.
OH pay day tomorrow so can finally pay things off
Special wishes to everyone today, hope the weather improves for you all.
Lou xBut I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!
Yes Verucca dear. :rotfl:0 -
Uolypool you are so not a "daft soppy mare". That Rottie is your furbaby, and as much a part of the household as any of the human members! May I know his name please? I'll engrave it into a Healing candle for him.
Sistercas oh, poor DH - I hope the tooth comes out without any problems. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Elona, I found that my cholesterol came down quickly and steadily when I began eating oat cereals for breakfast, cutting out full fat cream & butter and all processed meat products (commercially made pies / sausages / burgers / hot dogs etc). Apparently the bad cholesterol cells stick to the oats and get taken away through one's system
If that isn't an excuse to eat lots of Twinks, then I don't know what is!! 0
