Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 19th February. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in,put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) andjoin us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you goto bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Morning all
Kettles on, I'm showered & dressed, just have the packups to make.
Hubby's been asked to work more overtime as they are so short staffed, so it means long days for him & he's been asked to work the weekend too, good job we can record the GP.
Right Time I stared cooking breakfast.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning everyone
Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Raining steadily, dark and generally bleurgh! here this morning. DH up and off to work early but not stupid early.
Dinner last night was lovely roast chicken, served with mash, carrots, broccolli, green beans and peas, stuffing and gravy, an a sneaky bottle of wine to accompany - delish! Not sure about tonight's dinner though, will sort that at some point today.
Have an appointment at the Opticians first thing this morning, so will go and do that, then will stop off at SM on the way home to organise something for dinner. Will then get home and get stuck in to the mahoosive "to do" list - unfortunately dirty washing basket is overflowing because I haven't done any washing as I couldn't get it line dried due to the rain, so now have no choice but to wash it and use TD! But have barely used it this winter until now so hopefully this wet spell won't last too long!
Car sailed through the MOT yesterday and didn't cost as much as I thought it would so that's good, but have to pay for car tax by the end of this month so that's another £120, at least then we only have both car insurances in May then we're done for car related things for the time being.
Must dash as need to get organised to go to the Opticians.
Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

Good morning all,
Getting a bit brighter here now. It was a bit miserable first thing.
Have taken the dog for a walk. He loves walking and running in the longest grass and mud but he will walk round a puddle.
Wm is on and a few things in the td as there wasn't enough room on the airer and rads.
Tea tonight is cottage pie. Should be enough mince to make one for the freezer for another night.
Bramble, well done on the weight loss.
sistercas, hope you hubby gets on ok with having tooth out. Enjoy your day off and hope that your not getting a cold.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

miffy - bump is progressing well

morning all
still not a lot of os goingon. we're away for weekend so need to get organised and few clothes packed etc. need to wash and dry lots too. cooking apples need using up so will turn them into something cakey. will do for snack on the car journey.
other than not a lot happening. still having ear trouble and have been referred back to ENT to clear the crap left from the infection out of it. also have conjunctivitus in both eyes and an ever growing coldsore. throw a bit of sickness in there too and a sleepless night partly down to restless legs and partly down to needing to scratch my eyes/ear to pieces. all that equals a very tired and grumpy me. still it could be worse.
i've got an appointment this morning and a friend who is taking me wants us to get lunch while we're out. not really in the mood for it so may just suggest getting somethng and taking it home. i need to plough through some of this washing and i need to fit a snooze into the day too
ds may stay at nursery all day. he keeps asking to do a long day so may let him today... will see how much i get done etc
hope everyone is well
