No worries hon. Just try not to beat yourself up about stuff. Even if you're in the WRAG group, the chances are you will still have an underlying entitlement to income based if you don't get in the support group. Chin up and try and cross bridges when you come to them. I know it's easier said than done when there are mh problems. But it's worrying about snow that might never fall xx
I want to be kept in the WRAG that would be ideal, worried that people aren't even getting in the WRAG..
thank you for your kind words.I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0 -
No worries hon, I had read all the horror stories too, was placed in wrag without any problems. Just read of someone today, who was dreading it, who got put in support group without any problems.
While there are problems with ATOS, if it's going to happen it's going to happen, you've done what you can and all you can do.
Try and chill yourself now, I know it's easier said than done. IF there are any appeals needed, I'm sure there are plenty who will offer support xx4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

I wanted it recording but they apparently couldn't sort the equipment in time, an then sent the appointment for 3pm even though I asked for it at 11am as i'm a lone parent..
I saw a doctor who moaned because I had 3 kids with me, then he asked if my 11 year old could take my 4 month old outside the room..
I have degenerative disks, am in the WRAG and have been for 3 years..
I am waiting for an operation on my neck, my arms and one leg are affected, have had previous ops for disk problems, have sciatica and arthritis in lower back..
Also have a severe history of mental health problems which needed hospital treatment, cpn input, crisis care etc..
I took all medication and hospital letters, and explained I am waitng for an mri to assess damage to lower back as spine is wearing..
The doctor wasn't interested in anything I said, he didn't question my mental health as such just asked how long i'd taken the anti-depressants, i tried to explain my history but he wasn't bothered, didn't ask anything about my stillbirth which is a reason for my depression [among others]..
He tested my reflexes in my arms and legs, my right arm is knackered and it was quite obvious, he knew i was in agony...
He tried to move my legs but did it the wrong way to how it should be done, at the hospital they lay me on my side to test my slr rate..
He said that my relexes are gone in my foot and ankle, and asked me to put my arm behind my back and i couldn't do it..
He asked me a question which threw me, he asked about my driving, I can hardly drive now and only drive within 5 mins of my house due to neck mobility and morphine, he asked me 'when did i last walk to school and the doctors' I didn't get it..
I told him that I get breathless and get headaches, he didn't ask anymore about this..[this is due to compression of blood flow to the head]
I wasn't asked about my writing issues either..
I'm so worried about the outcome, I don't have the energy for a tribunal, and I can't afford to lose out on the difference between ESA and income support..
Is it as bad as I think it's going to be ??? What do I do ??
We all know what bustards ATOS are and Im worried that they will use you being a single parent and taking the kids to the assement against you, you driving yourself and your kids their will also work againt you because driving means you can react to the enviroment around you, think ahead, process information and the side affects of your drugs cant be considered in your favor.
Would IS not be better for you at the minute to relive you from the pressure of ATOS?
Good luck with your latest assesment btw xxx.0 -

I got a taxi to assessment as paid for it myself, he discussed driving with me, I only drive the kids to school which is 2 miles away..I didn't drive for a year but started again in Feb after a steroid injection, but still need the op..
My daughter looked after the baby during medical, but i have thought of that, because i'm a lone parent they could put me on IS..
Thing is IS is less money and i'm not getting DLA as can't fill in the paperwork as can't write properly..
DLA was LC but ran out in Nov, LC was just for lower back as didn't have neck problems when was awarded..I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0 -
soapn appears to have disappeared. I'm sure that And..^h^h^ errrrm what's his name will be back soon under a new pseudonym but kudos to the mods for removing this bile spouting troll. He's above everyone due to being on the highest rates of DLA and entering into retirement soon and thinks he's immune from all of the changes. Good luck with that fella.

Don't worry about it hun, just await the decision and if needs be then you fight on! I too am in a bit of a no-mans land with the DWP as the ATOS report says I can mobilise 50m, my HRM says I cannot. Lose my HRM and it's bye bye to the only lifeline I have to the outside world.

Isn't that this the reason for a face to face assessment?
Was your HRM awarded just off written evidence without having a medical assessment?
If it was, then surely the ESA, ATOS report will be more accurate then any amount of letters and reports?
Currently appealing my ATOS report and the decision to leave me in the WRAG due to the fact that I mistakenly put down my best day scenario when I should have put worst and none of the additional information I added has been taken into account either.
Don't worry, just await that brown envelope. Who knows, you may have been moved to the support group.
If not, fight another day.
I personally believe that all applications for any illness, sickness or disability related benefit should be only part of the claim. A much larger part should be an automatic face to face assessment for everyone say every 12 months at the max.0 -

I see from the revised ATOS handbook that they have been trained in the way to ask questions along the same lines as other investigators are that actually work for civil service.
That surprises me.
I would advise anybody going to an ATOS assessment to read that manual and understand the methods and psychology behind how and why a question is asked in various ways - closed questions, open questions etc.
Once you can identify each type of question then you will be on your way to knowing how to answer it.0 -
I am desperate for some help.I had my 2nd assessment over a week ago and could not get decision on the day but got a letter in the post saying i am not entitled to ESA with limited capability for work. All i was awarded was 6 points due to lack of mobility with my back condition. There is no information as what i have to do next just that my ESA entitlement is finished.Only advise i have had is to go on jobseekers to get a benefit but there is no way i can do a full time job.0

You really need to try and get the DLA forms filled out for you then, there are many diffrent organisations that can help you, they can even come out to your home. If you get reawarded DLA and hopefully at a better rate you would get premiums to make IS more than you are getting for ESA currently.
Your daughter may have looked after the baby during the assessment but they know she goes to school so you have to look after him/her and we all know that they use everything to deny us ESA, the same for driving, because you take the kids to school they read things into that.Ellejmorgan wrote: »I got a taxi to assessment as paid for it myself, he discussed driving with me, I only drive the kids to school which is 2 miles away..I didn't drive for a year but started again in Feb after a steroid injection, but still need the op..

Then it sounds as if your only option is to appeal.
Edit - Sorry, Oscar, I have just seen your comment on another thread. I had not realised that when you said '2nd assessment' you meant appeal tribunal. I'm afraid that, if the tribunal found against you, you are almost out of options. You could appeal again only if there was an 'error of law' with the 1st tribunal. This is not straightforward and you really need advice from a benfits adviser. You cannot appeal just because you do not agree with the tribunal's decision. The only other thing you could do is start an ESA claim process all over again.0
