sign this petition - ebay not allowing used reusable nappies to be sold!!!!

Options
hiya everyone :hello: it has come to my attention that ebay will no longer allow used reusable nappies to be sold on their site  and i think its a terrible shame as not only is it cheaper to buy reusable nappies second hand its a way to try them out and find out which suits your baby best, as well as obviousely being green and enviromentally friendly and helping save putting plastic nappies in landfill which take god knows how many years to decompose! the whole point of reusable nappies are that they are reusable!! please can everyone who agrees sign this petition :T http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?clothdpr
many thanks...angchris

Have signed too. Can't understand the eBay's problem myself...

Quite honestly, if I hadn't bought second hand reusables from eBay, I'd still be buying disposables (even though I don't agree with them). £20 a month seems much cheaper than an outlay of £200+ for a system that might not even work with your baby.

Hope the petition helps eBay to change their policy.

Does anybody have any more information about this and the reasons why ebay are considering stopping reusable nappy sales? I can't think of any!

it is a really daft decision! it`s political correctness that is going way over the top above and beyond the realms of sanity  to class nappies as underwear is ludicrous..everybody knows what a nappy is for!! they are designed to be used over and over again and will last for several babies if you look after them and why make 1000`s of parents across the uk suffer by not being able to buy them second hand just in case a perv might buy them  and if they do buy them? so what!! im not disputing there are weird and wonderful people out there but why punish the majority on a "just in case" this country really is going mad

May i suggest anyone who is looking for re-useable nappies to take a look through thier local ad-mart/ trade it you will usually find them cheaper here anyway as you wont b paying postage or someone elses ebay fees.
    Thanks

Yes but one of the plus factors of using cloth is that you can sell it on easily if it doesn't fit or is not quite right. Eg Someone who has bought a birth-potty system but decides they want to change to something else when their baby grows.

This makes me really mad as it is just going to put a lot of people of choosing cloth as it is being labelled as something "dirty"

    I've been Money Tipped!
There is also the hygiene element - there are some people who possible wouldn't wash them very well before selling on.

I think they should be sold on, though!
