26 February 2013 - Decision in Principle approved
8 March - Full application submitted
    11 March - Nationwide Survey
13 March - Survey satisfactory text message
15 March - mortgage value reduced after I negotiated lower price with vendor (home buyers survey revealed finlock gutter issue).
21 March - mortgage term lengthened (after speaking with a friend who's a financial advisor)
26 March - called to check they weren't waiting on anything from me. They were waiting on my bank statements which they had previously told me they didn't need as I already bank with them. They said it should go to their legal department (?) next week.

ETA for approval - no idea!

Still no news, should I be worried?! :(

I see other people's have gone thru within 4 weeks....maybe they didn't make all the changes I did?! :rotfl:

When did you last chase them? We had a small issue on ours that needed "removing" but when i called i got the impression that if I hadnt caleld it woud have just been left in limbo

Totally agree! Mine was held up as the documentation I had faxed hadn't been marked by them as 'received' when it was there. Would have probably remained like that if I didn't phone to check!

  • Hi Guys.

I had a decision in principle on 21/03/2013.
    Offer accepted on house 22/03/2013.
    Full application 25/03/2013.
    Valuation booked for 27/03/2013.

Its happening so fast and i know that the valuation will be fine but i am so scared..i am doing my own head in.
Anybody had a decline from this point on???

    Thanks

    Hayley x

Good job I did phone them because they were still insisting I owed them bank statements despite initially saying I didn't need to send them because I already bank with NW!!

The guy on the phone said to send them anyway to be on the safeside, so they are in the post before 5pm tonight!!

    What a palalva :rotfl:

Have they sent you a text to let you know?

I haven't had any texts from them since the survey approval 13/03/2013.

No they never sent a text my mortgage advisor told me they requested a contact address for them then my employer told me they give it.

Yep!! I feel like I can't get excited until the keys are in my hands, still can't quite believe how close I am to having my own front door!!

For me tho, definitely the most stressful part was finding the property because it was all down to me. Now it's just a waiting game and I have to leave it up to the housing gods to decide my fate :A
