Hi all,
I have been trawling around for a while looking for a new phone /deal. I have decided i would really like a galaxy note and have seen a deal offered by phones4u at £28.50 a month...free phone 600mins/3000text/1gb...plus potential quidco cashback.
I have phoned my current provider (3) for a pac code and they have basically told me I won't get this offer due to the hidden terms and conditions!
Should I be wary of this deal ?...or are 3 trying it on???
Any help and advice appreciated:)))

It looks like it's really £36 a month but you get a bill credit of £7.50, its not clear if thats a cashback scheme or a automatic credit to your account.

Quidco cashback should not be relied on, it usually happens but is not guaranteed, so consider it another way. Would you be happy with it at £36, just in case the £7.50 credit doesn't work, or are you better looking elsewhere where you don't have potential risks.
  • Thanks for the reply. I always look at any cashback as just an extra IF it comes through. However, if the quoted £28.50 is a cashback price then I may leave it. Maybe I will phone phones4u and see exactly what the quoted vs real monthly cost is.
  • Ok. A bit more trawling has uncovered that the £7.50 is a bill credit. It seems in real terms that this is a discount applied by phones4u at a pro rata rate after your 1st full whack £36.00 true tarif rate.
Next question is ...should I be nervous of this discount actually being applied...does anyone have any phones4u experience with these terms??
All help gratefully recieved. 3 have offered me the handset I want at £34.00 pm with a ton of software I don't really want thrown in and only 250mg....
