    Dear all

My only excuse is that it's been a busy week and man flu struck!

I've just checked and it is a 150w 240v Halogen- like the ones in security lights.

I do hope you'll all forgive me?

As for compact fluorescents - I stick to my opinion and past experience, for me they seem to take a while to warm up and reach full brightness. Also I do not like the colour -appear a bit green to me. I use halogen when possible as I prefer the white light.

As I said before sorry for the confusion ( on my part).

Just as there are cheapo halogen bulbs, not all CFLs are the same.

I used Eterna FRCFLSN 11W CFL Fire Rated Low Energy Downlight Satin Nickel Effect. They do take a few seconds to reach full brightness. Then they are whiter, brighter and @ 11 watt use less electricity than 50 watt halogens I had previously. :T
