Just a word of warning. Prudential are awful for enquiries if your transaction doesnt track. I have a car insurance Quidco cashback enquiry outstanding from June last year and a home insurance policy TCB enquiry outstanding from November 2006.

    No they dont.

Their tracking rate is 95% and the 5% that didnt track 37% have so far been sucessfull. These are really good figures.

I appreciate you may have had an issue however my guess from these figures the problem relates to either, not clearing cookies, spyware/mal/adware/anti virus/pop up blocker stopping the tracking.

You shouldnt generalise when there are stats to disprove it

You have just reminded me of why I hardly bother to contribute to these forums any more. If you would be happy with a success rate of just over 1 in 3 (37%) then good luck.
I was referring to transactions that dont track and can read the Quidco stats for myself thank you.

Well seeing as you can read you probably dont need reminding of the figures below which show Prudential compares more favourably than:

Barclays - 7% of enquiries succesfull
Direct Line - 24% of enquiries succesfull
    Natwest - 27% sucessfull
    budget - 17% succesfull
    aa - 0% succesfull
    esure - 32% succesfull

You have got to remember that of the some outstanding enquiries some may have only ust been submitted. Again i appreciate that you youself may have had issues but this shouldnt stop others being succesfull

Like gazza said, that's actually a very good rate compared to the others. I think it's important not to taint a company just because you yourself have had a problem, it may be an isolated case. Whilst I accept that that doesn't particularly help ypur problem, the fact that you have had a problem doesn't mean loads of other people will do.

Having said that, I would have cancelled the policy within the 7 day cooling off period if it hadn't tracked and started again, I wouldn't personally rely on the 'submitting a claim' option. Prudential (if it's going t track) normally tracks very quickly IME.

I have had the same problem with Prudential re claiming back £100 for car insurance since September 2006. My enquiry is still on going also.
Other companies have tracked fine so don't know what the problem is.
It was a good deal and we got our insurance cheaper but would have been better if getting £100 back.

I've also got an enquiry from November when I took out house insurance.

So, not as rare as one many think.

I took out a very cheap prudential car insurance policy out, back in september
via quidco (my first purchase via them).
It didn't track at first so i submitted an enquiry, eventrully it did track.
After a very long wait the £100 cashback got transferred into by bank account via bacs TODAY !!!! don't give up.

I went ahead and signed up to the Prudential offer, and today in Quidco it said:tracked total £130. What happens now, and how long will I have to wait to know if all is ok?
    Thanks:o

  • If you go through Quidco, do you get their offer of free Green Flag Roadside Assistance as well as the £130, as you would if you were to get quote by telephone, anyone know?
    thanks
