That's really excellent - it sounds like a great way to introduce the children to eachother. I hope it goes really well! And the fact that he waited to tell his children until he was really confident about the relationship is a good thing, not a bad thing!
My OH and I met when I did a year abroad in England. Then I returned to the US for two years, we got married, I moved to Edinburgh and he stayed in Manchester for a year and a half because we were both doing PhDs. It's pretty tough going, absolutely! But it will be worth it in the end - you'll find some way to be together.0
