Hi Monnagran
I'm very pleased with the washer. It's a Bissell Powerwash Pro. Ideal World were selling it for £149, but they've put it up to £219 now. I got mine on ebay, refurbished by Bissell with a years' guarantee, for £99.99 plus £12.99 postage!
Did the Hall and stairs yesterday, three tank fullknows, the dirt! I was ashamed! Well worth it I feel. Have noticed that Lidl will be doing a Vax one in a few weeks for £59.99, don't know how good it is though.
Thanks for all the birthday messages!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Evening all, just wanted to send hugs to your DD Gintot hope things will be OK for her. I expect it is hard for you to be so far away from her at times like this. Healing vibes for your Woofer Uolypool and hugs for anyone else who needs them esp The Rev Monnagaran. Have a good evening all.:)£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund

Evening All
Mixed day of weather here, was quite nice at times but the big black clouds were never far away. A few sharp showers too!
Went for a coffee with some friends after work for a catch up which was good. Then replaced the handle on DDs bathroom door (she breaks everything!). It was actually easier than I thought so that has saved a few pennies.
Veggie omlette for tea, DD had chicken ( I would have had chicken but there was only one piece in the bag that came out of the freezer!).
Hoping to have another good night's sleep, last night's was really good for a change.
Happy Birthday Hilstep - hope you're having a good day.
Take care. XX0 -
Just a quicky, the vet phoned and woofer has tore his cruciate ligament :(. So he is off to Cambridge Vet school tomorrow for a proper look and possibly an op to repair it. Devastated but to be honest not shocked. Being an 81/2 stone rottie whos sister had both her crutiates operated on last year I have wondered quite often if he would have the same ops done at some stage. Thank goodness he is insured as the bill today came to just over £200 and I know from my sister that the bill for the op could well rise to over £5,000 :eek:.Thankfully it will all cost me the £80 excess. Will update tomorrow when I know morePaul Walker , in my dreams;)0

Evening all,
Happy birthday Hilstep, hope that its been a good one.
uolypool, hugs to doggie, hope that he has a speedy recovery.
Cold and wet here most of day, knitting group this morning, have finished second blanket ( for DD1) and started one for DD2.
Leftover stir fried chicken and veg with rice for dinner, very nice.
Dogs having a great time in house with all the rain....Kerry spends most of her time keeping guard from the landing window and then Mossy joins her to bark at whatever, bird, car, person or whatever dares to cross her line of vision...sometimes even a security light up the road sets them off....mad eejits!
Ginto....nice to see you back, sad for your daughter to be so far away when she needs you....good idea to cut back on her work as stress is not a great thing for her at present. In spite of the crowded trains, the transport system is very efficient...when I was there in 1997 you got a lot more yen for your punt than you do now, so didn't find it as madly expensive as I expected, although we stayed away from the 'European' outlets....worst and most expensive meal I had was in Hard Rock cafe in Osaka. Would love to visit Kyushu, where DS1's inlaws live, but time seems to be running out for gallivanting, never mind money!
Hugs to all, stay safe, sleep well
