Our music choices so far:
Guests arriving –Foo fighters: everlong (acoustic), Goo Goo Dolls: Iris, Newton Faulkner: it must be love, Tim McGraw: it’s your love plus a couple of others we still need to choose to make it to around 30 minutes.
Processional – Scott Davis Piano instrumental of metallica’s nothing else matters
Signing the register – no idea leaving this to OH
Recessional – no idea but I would like either Queen: crazy little thing called love or Bruno Mars: Marry you but need to talk to OH about them
First Dance – Keith Urban: making memories of us
Last Dance – Avenged Sevenfold: Warmness on the soul0 -
We're having Ravel's Bolero for the 17 minutes (our version is 17 minutes long) until the bride arrives, the processional is Canon in D by Pachelbel, and then the recessional is an instrumental REM song - not yet decided which one, but groom is a huge REM fan. Nothing else decided yet!0

Bron-Yr-Aur - Led Zeppelin;
Fearless - Pink Floyd;
Blackbird - The Beatles;

That came to 29 minutes of music.

Canon in D
Signing the register:
Green Eyes - Coldplay
Skipping out:
I'm In The Mood For Love - Jools Holland / Jamiroquai

Thank you so much for that suggestion, I was thinking of walking in to a string version of hallelujah by alexandra but wasn't sure if they'd allow it in a civil ceremony.
This is so much better as I'm a massive Metallica fan and this is a beautiful version. Now to choose what the recessional will be, something about him not escaping my clutches I think
First dance will have to be This I Promise You by Ronan Keating, OH loves it.0 -
Wow, some fab song choices!! Glad I posted now
I love Goo Goo Dolls Iris, wasnt sure if was ok for a wedding but having a re-think now! Also love Songbird by Eva Cassidy, that was a maybe on the list (imaginary list lol as think of them then forget to write them down) Our first song was hey there delilah so might try and fit that in as wellPlus like westlifes what about now, but thought that was more about a break up? Haha, just looked, what a weird mix have picked! Keep them coming lol

I think ours will be a mixture of the Ramones, Fleetwood Mac, Kasabian, Paolo Nutini, Muse and possibly a bit of Lynnyrd Skynnyrd.
Can't remember the titles of most of them, but I can sing them which isn't much use on a forumWhen you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.

We had 30 minutes before the ceremony - I would say do 45 minutes, ours had to go on again as I got stuck in traffic! I walked down the aisle to Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa 'something's got a hold of me', we signed the register to 'Cheek to cheek' and 'Everybody (Needs somebody to love)' and walked out to 'higher and higher'. After the ceremony we played our friends and families first dance songs and happy songs about love.
We have since been asked for the cds as our guests loved it!May GC - £100 per week
