Car tyres question.

Looking for websites that sell resonably priced branded tyres.
Also, the tyres I have on at the moment..the front pair have 80V rating & the rear pair have 84W rating.
It is one of the rear tyres that is worn & I suspect the garage will take one from the front to replace the worn rear trye. So what rating should I purchase?
My car is Citroen C2 VTS.

Try this one as well

I used to use Blackcircles regularly but now find that you need to shop around a bit.0 -
Our VTS is on 84W rated tyres.
We put it on Vredestein Sportrac 3's because the noise from the OE Michelins was awful and they torque steered badly, no regrets with the Vredesteins.
Try Camskills Mytyres and Tyremen, i have bought from all three over the years without any problem.0 -
V is a rating to 149mph
W is a rating to 168mph
So we should be fine with that
80 is a load rating of 450kg
84 is a load rating of 500kg
The manufacturers spec is 195/45R16 V 84 so your 2 fronts are 10% under what you should be running.
I'd get those replaced as well (i'd imagine more weight over the front in a c2?) as blowouts aren't fun and i'd hate to be in an argument with an insurer about why you thought under rated tyres would be fine0 -

It wouldn't be a long arguement.
If the rating plate under the bonnet said 900kg or less for the front axle, the op would be ok. It if was 900kg to 1000kg and the tyres contributed to the accident it would be different.0 -
Would I be able to fit the 80V tyres on the rear & buy two 84V new tyres for the front?0

you are better with the new ones on the back0

The car was fitted with 84 load rated when new, if you look at the passenger B pillar you should find a tyre specification sticker attached.
Mine says 195/45 x16 84V, which says to me that 84 is the specified load rating, you can go 84W if you like because that is higher speed rated than V, tyre specs are not listed in the handbook..
Someone bought cheap underspec and put 80's on, if it was mine i would sell the best ones and put 84's all round, up to you..0 -
Why?A bit expensive as well.Even if there were four 80 rated tyres on, at 450kg each, that's 1800kg.The car only has a GVW of less then 1500kg, so they're still within rating.I'd do the same as the op, unless I was going to be running with a heavy load in the back and the seats down all the time.0
