to get rid of Ants.... clean your kitchen cupboards out totally and put all opened packets into sealed bags/plastic boxes so that they are not tempted in by anything, if you know where the nest is pour a kettle of boiled water over it and then to send em packing forever sprinkle cloves all over the area's where they have been seen..... your garden/kitchen floor/kitchen surfaces people might think your a bit mad! but it works! and for added effect you can wave a white hanky as they disapear over the horizon!!0

I seem to have quite a few moths in and around my house. I air the rooms regularly, keep things clean and use cedar wood and lavender sachets in wardrobes etc, but nothing is working - any tips?r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0

I find that Bouchard anti moth sachets work quite well. I also have cedar balls (in my wardrobe, that is) and lavender sachets. My wardrobe smells like Quentin Crisp but it seems to keep the moths away. Also don't forget to check any second hand clothing you buy carefully for moth holes, and kill any moths you see in the house. Steaming clothes also kills moths. Clean or steam clothes before putting them into seasonal storage in wardrobes, trunks etc. If I find a mothole in a garment I quarantine it in a sealed plastic bag with Bouchard sachets in for a couple of weeks, then if there are no more holes I steam it and put it back in the wardrobe.'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0

Just keep hold of the thought that bees wont harm you
Seriously they wont sting you unless extremely provoked. My puppy even had one in his mouth Sunday and still he wasnt stung. Hubby was able to take it off him and lift it to safety to recover.
I have lavender bushes outside my living room window primarily for the smell and secondly for the bees. I open my windows every day and rarely have a bee find his way in, and if one does a piece of paper to gently direct it back to the window does the trick0
