Lucky I really hope you are feeling better by now. Great news about DH's old friend with similar injury - it will do him good to compare notes. Walking is brilliant exercise and going to gym together is a fab idea.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hope you have had a good day today

Evening all!
SA I feel better in the sense that I am no longer bedbound, can happily have a shower/get ready etc without feeling I will pass out, can walk down the stairs rather than having to go on my bottom incase I fall and can walk without clinging to walls!! However, I'm constantly shattered. No amount of sleep is enough and I actually wake up tired. I am snappy and can't find much joy in anything. I feel bad because I am mourning two children I never knew yet at the same time have little patience with the 2 I already have. I'm tearful and I don't like myself. Apart from that I'm tickety boo .
Robin I think you have hit the nail on the head both re me and DH.
SBO, good to have you back. Thank you for sharing your experience with postnatal depression.
Today has been ok. We ended up at the coast which was nice and then my 3 boys had their hair cuts. Back to school for DS1 tomorrow.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Morning lucky
Agree with Robin and SBO above.
Give yourself time. You've been through a lot recently: mentally, emotionally and physically. You're not gonna feel like the usual 'you' at the flick of a switch. UnfortunatelyGlad you're able to be up and about a bit more each day, even though you are still tired. Just continue to take it slow.
Hope this morning went well for DS1
DD2 started back at school yesterday - and was feeling sick and absolutely beat last night. She's not really great at looking after herself so is a constant worry to us all
DD1 back at Tech today - excited for sure
DD3 back at school tomorrow - looking forward to it but scared too!
Look after yourselfWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Hi plmbl, I hope you have a good day today. It will be quiet without DS1 today. When does DS2 go to nursery? You should have something arranged to do while they are both out. Either on your own or with DH. Something you enjoy.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Lucky, have just remembered you're a vegetarian. Which means your diet will have fewer iron-rich food sources than an omnivore / "normal" Geordie (so Hb level will take longer - possibly much longer - to return to normal).
Does your GP know this?
Think I'd get Hb checked again, and if not improved to a level GP is happy with given time since mc, ask for the jabs.
Of course it's cheaper for the NHS to let you recover without 'em, and most omnivorous women will do so, but you've got a lot on your plate anyway looking after your family - and being a veggie is a disadvantage in this situation (yes, I'd been a long-term veggie too at the time of my lost-babies-decade - GP knew this and gave me a course of twelve weekly iron jabs every time. Painful but worth it).
ps. DS1 is doing well - fingers crossed!0 -
Well DS1 got off to school ok this morning, the only problem being that the plimsoles I bought him when being organised at the start of the 6 week holidays now do not fit :eek:. Had to buy him some more today in a bigger size. Luckily they are only £4 but it's still £4 I shouldn't have had to spend. Who's feet grow a whole size in 6 weeks?! More than that actually because I bought them big! I can't take them back either because I had written his name in them so will just put them away for DS2.
HAW I hope DD2 is ok.
Pooh DS2 starts nursery tomorrow morning but only for an hour. It takes 2 weeks for them to be phased in for the full morning, adding a few extra minutes each day!
Robin you are right I need to be extra careful being veggie. I've been trying to eat more iron rich foods like green leafy veggies and chickpeas etc, but I will need to go to the GP again anyway as the hospital only gave me a 2 week supply of iron tablets and I took the last one this morning . It doesn't help that DH was tossing and turning a lot last night and I lay awake waiting for a seizure. I think he was having a nightmare but his movements were frantic and violent so it could have gone either way. I could honestly sleep standing up today but I'm tired even when I sleep well at the minute.
I bought myself a new sparkly top today. I had a £10 M&S giftcard which I got as a Christmas present, and a £10 voucher that I got when I changed my house insurance provider. I was saving them to buy a Christmas gift for someone but I just thought 'stuff it' and spent them on myself. I need cheering up. It worked for a few minutes until I felt guilty.
DH has gone to help his Mum paint again (she has moved on to the dining room!) so it's just DS2 and I. The peace is lovely!!

So glad you decided to treat yourself and don't feel guilty. Someone gave you £10 to spend on yourself, not on a gift for someone else. The £10 voucher was earned by being mse and shopping around for a deal
Hope DS1 had a good 1st day back and DS2 has a good 1st hr tomorrow
Hope you manage to get some rest today

Thanks Granny. I know what you mean about the gift card/vouchers and I don't want to come across all martyr-y it's just I'm used to going without so that everything else goes smoothly. It's easy to do when you are the financial decision maker!!
