Help with dodgy phone

Depends what services you have active, only by switching off ancillary servces like Data, GPS and the rest will the phone reduce its requirement for power. Even in standby, the phone will regularly transmit up to three times every hour a 'location call' to tell the network you are online and available to accept calls. All takes it out of the battery. Turning the handset off completely is the only way to prevent this.0
