All,

Moving abroad to Greece for 7 months to work, want to keep my number but no point having an 'allowance' when can't even use it abroad.

Anyone used the below?

I wasn't aware 3 still offered this, if they do it makes sense as it was set up specifically for someone who wanted a number but wasn't necessarily going to make large numbers of calls.
  • Think its a 'hidden' option they only offer if you say you want it as potentally won't make them any money at all if you don't use it.

It is still a contract, but with a 1 month minimum term. THis means they still insist in reporting your financial affairs to their pet CRA, and will require a Direct Debit or Cand Mandate. PAYG is safer, and just remember to top up with £5 when 4 months in.

Looks like you only get the Sim if you buy a phone from them

And don't forget that if you have this sim in a phone in Greece, then receiving calls will still be charged at roaming rates etc.
  • Yeah got a 3 Phone already on 3's 100 plan or something. No issues with 3 so far.
