I actually never knew that, probably because I never really read the notes or anything now for burgers, so just had it in my head you couldn't go large. Not that I'd really want to personally, although a bigger drink would be handy sometimes just to give you something to sip slowly while waiting for the minutes to pass.
Unlike chicken where you have to accept the upsell, yet I find they rarely ask :( Which is a shame as I wouldn't really choose to eat at Gap burger, but I am partial to Gap chicken :D

Strange about the large thing as they get sooo funny over a few seconds sometime, so you think they'd make an issue of 'well it takes an extra 3 seconds to fill a large cup' etc!

    Good point.

BTW, always worth having a quick glance at the notes as they do add a few changes just to keep us on our toes! For instance there is one form of card payment you can't use which is becoming moe common in other shops.

I've never done a mystery shop before but have my first one coming up next week at Magic Burger Land with Gapbuster. It just mentions to get a value meal and gives you the price which I assume means I regular size. If I want to go large (to get a free glass), is that ok to do so knowing full well you won't get the extra money back? Or does the receipt have to exactly match the £3.14 (or whatever it is) that they state for a value meal.

I bought large meals another time Gap Burgers were doing the glass promotions and it was fine. Can't do it again though as Gap decided I'd had one too many burgers I think :(

with the gap chicken fast food you MUST accept the upsell, but not the burger one. I assume they just haven't sussed that you ordered the bigger one from the receipt or cost of the meal.

    I'd not risk it.

Just when I thought I was going to start dieting, blummin RE/MF have given me a pizza to do! Sigh. ;) I think I will go at lunchtime as they do the super duper deals then.

Has anyone else ever done a visit where all 4 staff were super duper and you can only pick 1 for outstanding service? Do I just say NO and then state they were all really good?

I've only done two. The first was about a year ago and I don't recall having the send the receipt off and I know that I didn't. I did this time, for a visit I did a couple of weeks ago. I used the letter for one of my gyp stamp jobs:)

Well I do them most months when they get desperate then offer the bonus and never have sent them before
nor do i return the payment confirmation thing they want either
hadnt noticed they now want an original till now. I think its just to stop returning the items. My niece usually benefits or if ive got a duplicate it end s up on ebay, id want them to pay for a stamp and envelope if they are going to be insisting I spend the time to do that too

the staff in the ones i go to are like gold dust... near impossible to find but generally good when you eventually can., today it was almost 25 mins till I found one to assist., the only staff member visible till then was on customer service desk and she was serving with a queue non stop

On MF, you get 10 points for getting the job done, plus a further 2 for doing it on the original scheduled date. Now, does anyone knoe if these points mean anytihng at all? They simply keep on accruing (with the odd removed now and then when there's a referral) and its not as if you get an uplift in your rate when you get to 1000, 5000 or whatever.

Anyone had anything useful out of their 'points pot' ?
