So it's still 6p - thanks BuN.
(Big Graeme - you might want to change your figures to use the right value, as that is the allowable rate from HMRC. I know it's literally pence we're talking but in case of a random audit or anything at tax return time, you wouldn't want to have something so trivial wrong.)
I use my printer loads but for all sorts of different things, so would find it really difficult to attribute an accurate proportion of the use, therefore costs, to MSing, hence preferring to just use the number of pages actually printed.
I have a fast laser mono printer that I just use for MS work and a colour one that I use for other things so for me its easy.0 -

I think I can justify my rate per page if asked, HMRC don't seem to have a fixed rate they use but rely on us to back up anything we claim for.
I'm the same as you, I prefer the cost per page model as it is easier to account for.0 -

There is no actual fixed rate it’s only a recommended figure.Like many things tax related it all comes down to being able to justify it atthe end of the day. As long as you are confident in your argument then claimwhatever you like.

Ooh, MF have pinched a client from Mystery Outsource. Same scenario, same fee - bets on how long it'll take to reduce the fee and by how much?0

I've never done a mystery shop before but have my first one coming up next week at Magic Burger Land with Gapbuster. It just mentions to get a value meal and gives you the price which I assume means I regular size. If I want to go large (to get a free glass), is that ok to do so knowing full well you won't get the extra money back? Or does the receipt have to exactly match the £3.14 (or whatever it is) that they state for a value meal.0

2 Things Sdavi
First client names are a no-no on the thread, theres potential for legal ramifications etc etc.
Second from what I remember of Gypburgers you have to get exactly what they tell you to order, its a timing assessment nt a customer service assessment and ordering a large will result in timings being off.
Oh and welcome to the board. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Thanks. Edited the original post. Didn't consider that it may affect the timings by going large. Oh well, it's probably a crap quality glass not worth having anyway!0

I'll usually accept the upsell to large and Gap have had no problem with it so far...:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Same, I sometimes even request a large! There is no mention in the notes about what size to buy, I think it helps to keep them on their toes too about who you are. I'm hoping to get some glasses.0 -
Great, was going to ask about the "going large" as well. Glad it's just been covered! Glasses all around! :j
Anyone do any MSing for MyConsumer Intel. Received some emails lately after signing up yonks ago but have to activate my account first0
