hello, does anyone have any experience of using an ipad for entering ms results on various sites? inc uploading photos to the reports (i take the pics on iphone and have the cloud so they should sync across). thinking of getting one :) if ipad is pants, does anyone else use any tablets that are good? would also like some kind of spreadsheet function as well (have excel on lappy but no product keys left.) doesnt have to be massively complicated, just want one that can add up columns thanks

Problem is whilst you'll have the photos available you can't search and then upload them afaik. There might be an app for that though?

You can get around this by using another browser such as iCabmobile. This will let you select and upload files directly in to reports

Actually iO6,the latest operating system, recently announced but not yet released, will support file uploading. I think the other issue you'll have is how many of the allocation and reporting systems just aren't tested on iOS. I know RE, ESA and the company that can't be named won't work for instance. Even when it does work, you'll find it considerably slower when it comes to filling in the forms.

Actually RE won't work as it uses flash for the reports. You can log in and select jobs but that seems to be all. ESA works fine and I use it a lot on my iPad. As for speed, i disagree, i find it easier and quicker to do tick box reports than on a PC.

I've entered simple ESA and GAP reports on a Galaxy Tab but TBH I think reports that need narratve are most probably best done with a keyboard. Some tablets have a keyboard accessory, ASUS is one.

Mimi I am a big fan of ALDI face cream at £3 a pot! :p:)

I got rid of my laptop and use an Asus tablet. For anything other than Gap and ESA I go to the library to use a computer to enter my results as it's either too time consuming or the results pages simply don't work on other MS sites on my tablet.

BUN if you can explain how this is done on Icab I would be grateful. As I cannot figure it out. I was hoping I would use my iPad for reports more than I do as I use my phone as a wifi hotspot.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

It works like a pc browser. Click the appropriate button in the report to select the file, Icab opens a window that lets you select from your photos. Job done
