any one had any irish cheques lately ? I know someone mentioned getting paypal payment recently but i dont got for that due to fees

    think ive got some outstanding...

The fees are quite resonable, and there is usualy no conversion charges due to the ability to keep up to three different currencies seperate. PP hold balances in Sterling, Euro and US Dollars and the money stays that way unless I explicitly want to use it in a different area. (eg anything bought in eBay from the US as billed in USD and paid from that 'pot'.

It has certainly simplified my inbound payments.
  • I am doing a "quick Pizza" visit today for GAP, I have done plenty of delivery ones for this client but I have never been in the restaurant (?) where you get served even for the quick visits.

I know what the briefing notes says to ask for, is this an actual individual pizza they cook for you there and then or is it sliced from a big one? If it is an individual ones (which I think it must be from the briefing notes) then roughly does the reimbursement cover what needs to be bought.

Thanks in advance, I think if I had ever been in one of these restaurants I would feel happier about what I need to do.

It's an individual pizza, and the reimbursement covers the cost. HTH
  • I should have said, I do pick and choose the jobs I do for them, but they have a lot of jobs that are good fillers and are probably a good company for a beginner.

I agree, I think mf are fantastic for beginners as they tend to query everything and this gives you experience for the future, just don't take it personally as they do it a lot if you read through the pages on here you can see its not personal. I liked GAPbuster when I started too as I made a complete hash of a few calls and they were brilliant in guiding me. HTH

    Thats great thanks.

I had assumed they cooked it for you there and then but in the briefing notes they talk about getting your food within a minute of the previous timing point which does tie up.

There are 6 still listed on my work available page too. I hope they get them back.

Just phoned them, all the ones where you check for items and do the trick are still on. I was told to complete them this week. If unsure, call and find out if yours need doing. Might as well get the mileage one last time. :D

I personally find RM's allocation system actually the worst.

Maybe I'm not on the A list, but I normally get an email or text. Have to ring them up to find out the job, which in fairness I normally get. (then ask them if there is anything else in the area)

Although I could name about 20-30 locations I could shop for them. Problem is, they don't get offered. Although you can ring them, you can't do this everyday!!!

It has always made me wonder how the email/texts are done. Shame really as I find them a very nice company to work for and could do a lot more if they had a 'normal' allocation system
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

Try phoning around 22nd or 23rd of the month for jobs in the next month - has worked for me in the past.

Wow. Obviously you are liked. I always get told to call back at the start of the month. If I get the "shouty" woman on the phone, she just says "I will get back in touch soon" and never does.

    Agree with Sarah, RM suck!

MF just sent me an email saying a job was urgent and to check the website.

Did, what a waste of my time, a reimbursement that doesn't cover the cost of the meal, which requires two people to attend, buy food and drink. No fee to cover fuel or tax or time.

I don't know why I'm surprised but really...even the reimbursement was rubbish.
