Is it as scary as it sounds? I like both msing and auditing but the idea of doing both at the same time seems a bit weird!
It's not that bad. I've done them for other clients, and the shop staff are aware of what happens, so they're usually nice and friendly when you go back. Here I go again on my own....0 -

The MS part of these jobs is very straightforward. As far as I see, the main purpose is to get a till receipt to validate the subsequent audit. As Becles has already said, you are not likely to have a problem.
Only one of the petrol clients has the MS before the audit (the other is just an audit). The audits are quite different.0 -
Ive done alot of these for other companies and i felt like you on the first one. The staff are aware of how it works and every one of them have been more than happy to help me with it.0

URGENT!!
I had a pub job to do for MF tonight, read the notes and questionnaire when I accepted it, know what I need to do, but when I have come to print the questionnaire before going, it's disappeared from my list of Active jobs and is not shown as available either?
Tried ringing the contact number, but just says office is closed...
Any suggestions?0 -

I haven't had this happen to me, but I wouldn't do the job (unless I was going there anyway to do that exact scenario!). I'd say drop the contact person an email and ask why it was removed from your account without you being contacted.0 -
Evening all! Just done my first job for Gapbuster at a well known fast food joint. I didn't get a receipt because the unhelpful member of staff started serving someone else before I could blink and said "Oh, I can't get it now"
Anyway, will they give me my P45 for this? :eek:March'13 - Debt £13000 :eek:Total % paid - 0%0 -
No, but you wont get paid either. Just explain what happened and they'll probably ask you to re-shop it. They're not as bad as some make out.0

Oh, and they CAN get the receipt, so insist upon it if it happens again. Or get them to write one out. Just say you need it for work because you get free meals.
Everytime I ask them to write one out, they suddenly find the printer is suddenly working again. Muppets.0 -

If there are other dates available you can reshop this you could always just rearrange it to then yourself - I've done this loads of times if the original date becomes a problem or for 'problems' during the visit such as timing failure or operator error!0 -

Definitely rearrange it as Redcar says - its a bit of a pain because you'd have lost your fee/reimbursement on the first visit but Gap will never know that there's ever been a problem. I don't know what fast food place you were shopping but a good tip for the future is to pay by card if the assignment allows you to, that way you should be given a receipt automatically. Its good for me because I'm often a bit forgetful with receipts on fast food jobs.
Thanks everyone for your replies about the Gap petrol audits. The ones that come up in my area require you to don a safety vest after completing the 'covert' section of the assignment, very weird! I guess I'll start looking at the online training for them tomorrow.0
