Received Tax Credit / Don't Think I am Entitled to it

In my bank this morning received £49 from Child Tax.

We have 2 children, 2012 earnings were Husband £32911 and me £7492. On the child tax calculator it said we were not entitled to anything.

In Annual Review 2011 it says is your total income for 2011-2012 likely to be £30272 and £50,000 and we answered "yes" and it says your annual review is complete you do not need to do anything else.

Why havent the HMRevenue written to us ? Why have we received £49 today when we are not entitled to it?

Yes I know but I can't believe what a stupid incorrect system they have!

My friend received a letter from them in Feb to say hers was stopping - she has one child!

Well I won't be wasting my time and effort ringing them!

So why bother posting if you aren't going to do anything then?

You asked a question that only the Tax Credit office would be able to answer because no-one here knows what info they hold for you, yet you won't be calling to find out why a payment has been issued?

All of which has me wondering what you are going to do about the OPs posting. Nothing? Well, why bother posting if you aren't going to do anything?

All of which makes me wonder about this, my very own post. What am I going to do about your post? Nothing! So why am I posting!

Simples : to illustrate the absurdity of complaining about somebody who is clearly venting their anger at a stupid system.
  • phone them and ask, why on earth would anyone here know?

I asked you for some further information so that I could try and answer your question, and you ignored my post, so it works both ways.
