Thanks for all your help but am beginning to wonder if its going to be worth all the trouble as the item is only up for £2.99 and I have no bidders and his is the only question. I dont like loosing out on a sale or disapointing some one but I think there has to be a cut off point somewhere!

Oh right, yes sounds like a lot of hassle if that's the case! Is it too large to class as a Small Packet? If not, standard Airmail could be used maybe? Whatever you decide, it seems a difficult situation.

Is there anything I can’t send in a Standard Parcel?

Please don’t send any of the following, as they’re not covered by compensation:

Antiques (an object that is over 100 years old)
Articles made largely or wholly of gold, silver, or other precious metals. Watches are not excluded providing that their value does not exceed the level of compensation included in the service or the level of enhanced compensation, whichever applies
    Bearer Bonds
Ceramics such as ornamental and decorative china and porcelain*
    Diamonds and other precious stones
    Glassware*
    Hazardous and dangerous goods
    Jewellery (except imitation)
Money - Current bank notes, currency or coins; uncrossed postal orders that do not state the payee's name; cheque or dividend warrant which is uncrossed and made payable to the bearer; bearer security – including a share warrant, script or subscription certificate, bond or relative coupon; unobliterated postage or revenue stamp valid for current use in the British postal area or elsewhere (except a revenue stamp embossed or impressed on an instrument which has been executed); coupon, voucher token card, stamp or similar document which can be exchanged (by itself or with any other document) for money, goods or services; national insurance stamps
    Negotiable documents
    Prohibited or restricted items
    Real fur
    Stamps
    * Ceramics and glassware are covered for loss but not for damage

    Thanks Pennylane.

Even seeing that, it's difficult to know from their site what applies to what as I would assume with this they're talking about their standard parcel service as you get these guidelines on the page regarding that service. And maybe this is or isn't relevant to their International Signed For rules since it doesn't mention any of that on those pages when you are finding out about International services. I guess when in doubt, just best to call them to clarify or pop into a Post Office! Obviously if you've sent china/ceramics abroad you'll know the setup but as I say, I have no experience and the site certainly doesn't steer me either way.

Thanks for all your help and advise in a short space of time but I've decided that as much as I like making sales, I think that I will have to let this one go. It only needs something to happen to the package and I will have no back up. I have, as I said only just started selling and I wouldnt want any bad feed back now. ( Not that I intend to get any later anyway!!)
    Nice to save.
