Re-setting up Sky in another name for Cashback?

Hi everyone,

I currently have sky+ which costs an absolute fortune and is in my ex partners name. We recently split up and I need to switch it into my name. My question is could it be done by way of cancelling it and then resetting it up to take advantage of the cashback available and putting into my name and if so how long would this process take? or are there rules against this and should I simply phone and switch names?

    If you and your ex-partner don't share a surname, it's just a case of obtaining either getting your ex-partner to cancel or using a patsy in his place!
