As per previous posts Miele come out best in reviews but are very expensive.
I have had several different types over the years and my last one a Bosch has proved the best of all for mid range priced machines. Other makes can be very good too but tend to be a bit more hit and miss. Everyone I know who has Bosch appliances (not just washing machines - and this really is a very small sample to go by!) are very pleased with them. Not always the absolute best performance but they do seem reliable and last and those two qualities are very valuable.0
