I took my eldest on a long haul hol abroad at 3 months and he was fine and so was I and that was after a c-section and DS NOT being the easiest baby either. As long as you are organised, which is easier to do, when filling a car rather than packing to go on a plane. There are cots in the accomodation, and round the swimming pool are also cots to put baby in when they want to nap. Take it in turns to be in the pool with toddler whilst other watches babe. I can't comment on walk as I've only been to Whinfell and Sherwood. Are alternative dates a possibility to get accommodation a bit closer?0

I wouldn't really want to go on holiday with my in-laws either when I had a very new baby. What does mum think? I would just enjoy spending the time together binding your little family unit. Plenty of time for holidays when they're older.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

Hmmm. I went with my first son when he was about 18 months old, and that was fine although we needed the bike hire and the trailer thing as there would have been too much walking. There is a land train but it's a lot of faffing if you also have a couple of pushchairs. I wouldn't consider it without the bikes, and I think it may be too soon postnatally especially if you haven't long since stopped bleeding (could start it up again) if you overdo it.
Facility wise, it was fine - good choice of foods even for a little fussy eater, nappy changing facilities, etc. The pool was a bit crowded, but we booked our 18m into the toddler swimming sessions and that was very age appropriate. The provisions in the cabin were also great (high chair, cot, etc.).
We're waiting until this August to go again, when DS1 will be 3 1/2 and DS2 will be nearly 1 1/2, and we're def booking bikes and a trailer (for my poor husband to pull them along!).:footie: Mummy to 2 boys - born 2009 and 2011 :footie:0 -
ooh, bit of advice that CP's keep quiet. If you ask the life guards in the main hut when you walk into the pool area they have a few car seats that you can borrow for baby to be in as you wont have one with you. The travel cots are fab but I wish I had known about these with a 5 month old when we first went!!“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”0

My kids are big now so I"m not good on the baby info but the land trains are 20 mins apart and run to fixed timetable so you can plan around them. They don't run for most of the day on Mondays and Fridays - start around 6ish iirc.0
