Was going to put this in the holiday forum, but required some feedback and opinions for Centre Parcs Longleat as a young family.
I went there about 15 years ago!!!
How has it developed since, what's the swimming pool area like for toddler. Is there enough to keep them amused?
I've looked the date I want there's only Middle Section left really, so what's the walk like with a pushchair and walk for a toddler? I remember many hills?
Even getting to say the swimming pool, is it safe to leave prams etc. ?

I don't remember which the Middle Section was, but I do remember really long hilly walks between things, even for just two adults. Can you get bikes with seats or a bike with one of those little "tow trucks" for the children?0

We took our son last year when he was two and it was great! The pool is great for toddlers, especially if the weather's good enough to use the outside part too. We also took him on a pedalo on the lake and there are playgrounds dotted around the site too.
It would have been too far for him to walk to and from the pool though- we took bikes with a seat on for him and used a combination of these and the ditto train that runs.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Might be a bit hard with new born and wife to cycle too
We've got a pushchair for new born and a buggy board to stand on for toddler.
Does anyone know distance between pool and indoor sports?
Personally wouldn't mind bringing kids grandparents to maybe do some baby sitting of new born whilst both of us spend some time with toddler, but I'm sure wife will think otherwise0 -
Also how regular are the land trains as they don't seem to mention it much on website?0

We were invited there for a day trip when my DD was just 2 and DS was 9 days old. In hindsight, I don't know why I even entertained the idea of going. I spent the entire day sitting at the edge of the pool which was sweltering when you're holding a bundle of warm breast feeding baby. I couldn't have swum even if DH had been prepared to sit on the side because I was too sore and still bleeding (sorry TMI!). Not a pleasurable day at all. They had a lodge or cabin thingy which was near the pool and the restaurants and that was enough of a walk for me when I was that knackered.
Just how newborn are you thinking?Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

It would be fine for your toddler and they are very very geared up for babies, everything that you need you can get there if you forget it. The cots are fine (both my kids slept in them several times). The pool is lovely for little ones and warm enough for babies in the childrens bit.
Have fun...I'm jealous!!“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”0 -
I still don't think I'd do it tbh. Perhaps a few weeks later but that's still very early for mum to be doing any amount of walking around really. I was so achy after I had my 2 and being tired all the time doesn't help. Plus night feeds and whatnot are miserable in a strange place. At least at home you are in your own space.
ETA: at that age, baby won't be able to go swimming either and would you really want to be leaving baby with someone else for protracted periods of time? What does babie's Mum think? ^^^ Fully agree. despite what I said about have fun, 8 weeks post natal is very early days for all of you.“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”0

That's the thing I think if my parents came would help ease things
Post birth number 2 a lot better, after first it was achy for other half.
Our toddler if full charged I do a couple of miles walk and balance bike with him.
What other activities are there for sub 3 years old?
Newest addition is quite good with feed, sleep and the mo.0
