i'd also like to add my vote for strepsy, the hard work she put in for the puzzler thread is second to none and has resulted in a lot of winners :)

She's been an inspiration and a support to everyone who's taken part. I've saved myself a huge chunk of money that would normally just get spent on "nothing".

It never occurred to me to give up spending for lent but I'm so glad I did. I've saved a lot of money and it's all down to CAFCGirl. She's been our inspiration and our school marm throughout and kept us on the straight and narrow. Look out for our next challenge and for our Unnecessary Queen.

I nominate post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=4668244#post4668244 because I don't know either of them but it still gave me a lovely warm fuzzy feeling :happyhear

I second (or third, or fourth...) this nomination. It's a great thread which has got a lot of us thinking about our spending habits and more besides. CAFCgirl has dished out wise advice, stern admonishments when needed and been wonderfully warm and sympathetic too.

I too would like to nominate CAFCGirl's 'Giving up money for Lent'. She has been such a huge encouragement. I am now so much more aware of how 'just a little treat' now and again can add up to such a lot.

i see a reoccurring theme here. CAFCGirl came up with a simple idea but it's led to a lot of people reviewing their spending habbits and in some cases, their lives. A whole support group has emerged from this challenge and I really feel that CAFCGirl deserves some recognition. Thank you CAFCGirl.
