Bless.....but imagine how bonkers he is gonna go when he sees you agin:)
When I babysit my friends dog "snoopdog" I send a few txt pics of what he's up to as my friend used to do this 4 me when I had mine.
Roll on tuesday....work doesn't half get in the way of stuff doesn't it!.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Yes, he loves going there but he's always glad to come home.
She sometimes sends me videos of him skating round the laminate floor with his foot on a plastic bottle, trying to catch up with it!!0 -
I know what you mean... cat-wise of course! When we go away, we put ours in the cattery and if we have an early start, they go in the previous day. It always seems strangely eerie without the five of them getting in the way

A friend of mine has gone away for a few days, dog walker took her dog but I was going to see/feed her cat, lovely boy called Edwin.... Ohhhh he wanted cuddles.. they do miss us (I hope) when we not with them

I think its much better for them to be in a home environment if we have to leave them, rather than being in cattery/kennels even if they are on their own for a while. Mine hates being in kennels, I think its too noisy for him, he hates lots of noise like that. I did used to take him back to his breeder sometimes but its often out of my way.
I had a cat until a few years back, Jaffa, like your George, he was ok in the cattery, it was a lovely place where they really cared about the cats, but he hated the travelling, he had always been sick, pooed and wee'd himself by the time we got there, they always had to clean him up and the same when I fetched him home.0 -
Absolutely, Edwin would have to be taken into a cattery... no way....
I may have him here for a few days when my friend moves houes in May/June....
Intruduced him to Zara on Saturday, took her into friend's flat with me... it was so funny as he run to the door when I opened it and then completely froze seeing Zara....
Zara was doing the "happy pup routine" - ears down, front paws down, butt up, tail wagginf and Edwin just looked and looked at her tottaly frozen... after few min he let her give him a kiss LOL Zar was over the moon.... Edwin is a very confident cat.. Zara will chase cats if they run but he was not so they are friends now
My daughter sometimes have her boss'es dog over at her flat - it is a collie, she loves my daughter to bits and they used to leave her in kennels (they travel a lot) but now have an arrangement with my daughter. The dog is used to cats, she does not chse my daughter's cats and the cats are "dog proof" anyway... At work the dog is always by my daughter's desk in the office... this is a proper "working dog" comes to work with my daughter's boss every day LOL0 -
My dog sitter sometimes takes my dog into work with her, but she says he doesn't help a lot....he sleeps on the job!!!0

The dog in my daughter's place used to run around in the warehouse part chasing the fork lifts but since my daughter joined the company - the dog moved into the office with her....

Exactly the same here,it's almost like the life has gone from the house.it's a different than when family have gone.Dunno how to explain it,it's only something pet owners will understand.0 -
I feel like that when my dogs go to my kids when we're going away for a week. They go the night before and it's like a bereavement!0
