Good buy on TVs? Don't know which one

Still looking at TVs and came across these:

I'm not that fussed about actually having a 3D tv (I wouldn't actually choose a 3D one) but for the price I think the specs are decent especially when compared to other TVs of the same size and price that don't have 3D.

Any advice or comments appreciated

Just three observations:-
Go for the biggest set you can afford in terms of money and available space in your "TV" room. I spent ages looking at 40-42" sets then went for a 51" - now we are thinking we could have gone even bigger!!!
Don't discount plasma - piccy on mine is very good and you pay a premiuim for "LED"
Don't let "3D" sway you too much - my nephew,who visited last weekend said that he was already bored with the 3D effects,glasses are very expensive and not comfortable to wear - he also agreed that for most TV programmes my £480 51" Samsung set has as good a picture as his Panasonic 3D set at almost 3 times the cost!!! and was only significantly better when viewing Blu ray discs.
Further point is that Richer Sounds sell a 5 year warranty for 10% of purchase price and John Lewis include 5 year warranty in the price - the likes of Argos,Currys,Comet etc charge a fortune for the extended warranties.

I agree. I went from an 10 year old 32" crt to a 43" Samsung 3D tv from Richer sounds in December for £370 and when I unpacked it I couldn't get over its size, however, now I wish I had gone bigger and would agree with brewer dave and say get the biggest you can afford.
I didn't get mine for 3D but when I do use the facility it is brilliant.

Thanks both. I already have a plasma TV (40") but I'd prefer a TV that doesn't also act as a heating system or gets image burn so I'm going for the eco friendlier LED tvs.

I'm not that bothered about having a bigger screen size - it would be nice but I'm happy with 40". And to be honest, with LED, I'm not going to get much bigger for my budget (absolute max £500).

The 3D bit - I wasn't looking at them for that - they just happened to be 3D. I was just wondering which of the two would be best bearing in mind the second one is an "open box" - return or reconditioned.

scooby, don't get hung up about LED. I'd rather have a bigger, better quality plasma or CCFL LCD than a smaller LCD that happens to have those magic letters on it 'L E D'. Don't fall for speils about lower energy consumption, look at the real numbers! You're really not saving a lot of energy over an old style LCD, or over a modern plasma either. Have you actually experienced screen burn or have you just been told about it, as modern plasmas don't really suffer from this either.
