    In the case of Brazilian investment you'd also need to add currency risk and the potential for fraud

    Also charges and tax.
    I do trade some US shares sometimes on the Nasdaq and the charges are higher than UK shares.
  • The Brazilian investment is done through a UK-based company so is subject to UK law; 20% is on your original sterling investment which is held in a Lloyds escrow account, and the return is fixed ;).

    If you believe that you are guaranteed a 20% return and your capital is also guaranteed, you are obviously mistaken.

    I don't need to know anything about the scheme to say that.
