The Brazilian investment is done through a UK-based company so is subject to UK law; 20% is on your original sterling investment which is held in a Lloyds escrow account, and the return is fixed

If you believe that you are guaranteed a 20% return and your capital is also guaranteed, you are obviously mistaken.
