Morning all!
What a palaver yesterday was! We got a new (hand me down) sofa (we have never bought a sofa in our 4 years living together!) but it's a 3 seater and our living room is on the 2nd floor of a Victorian terrace, so getting up the stairs resulted in taking down the (original!! I hope it's goes back on) bannister and eventually cutting the sofa in half because the living room is at a right angle to the top of the stairs!
Luckily the wood was joined there anyway so just needs strengthened, but you can sit on the sofa and it's so comfy!
Need to rejig the living room today but that's pretty much all I have planned, oh and some washing and change the bedding.
Roast pork for OH for dinner and something low inWW points for me.
On my iPod so sorry I've not commented to anyone directly, it's nearly impossible but my thoughts are with you all xxAnnual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Hugs to you Cariad. I know when I am in hospital it is a very good way to lose weight:eek: How about some home-made rice-pudding as that is just so easy to eat can be very calorific.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
morning everyone
lovely sunshine. Had a lovely walk with Luna who is now sitting in the garden sunning herself and taking the air.
Not many plans today, just going to potter about I think. Need to vac etc DW has been on twice, got washing to do, ironing to tackle.
No idea about tea, we have left over party food so it might be a picky tea rather than a sunday roast.
cariad hugs for you and your mum xxx hope shes on the mend asap.

Morning all!
Just watched the Chinese Grand Prix, so pleased for Nico Rosberg. He used to be a Williams driver and my stepson worked for them, he is such a nice guy!
Going out with OH and two friends today for Sunday Lunch. It is mine and DGD's birthday Wednesday. I will be 53, she'll be 2! Can't believe two years have gone already:eek: She is so funny now, she's talking up a storm and the things she says are lovely:rotfl:
Celebrated last night with Champagne and Andre Rieu on the telly:rotfl:
WM on, and dishwasher. Something tells me this week is going to be a good one!:T
(((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need them
Cariad Know how you feel about your mum. My dad is in a nursing home, and he doesn't always say when he needs anything. Try and get her to realise that she is not being a burden, that's the job of the staff.
Anyway, have a good day all!

Morning all. Lovely sunny day here today, yesterday turned nice after lunch so we took Jack to the heath for a walk. I'm back to school tomorrow so am trying to get my head round some planning, I expect the kids will be as reluctant to go back as the teachers especially if the weather is nice. Lamb stew for tea, hoping DH will cook it as I have to flatten Mount Ironmore!!!!!!!
Hugs to all who need them esp Lou, LW Sunflower and Beth-hope the last 2 are still lurking. Cariad62 Hope your Mum is more comfortable today and that she feels well enough to eat.
Have a good day all.:)£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund

tru my tommy plants are indoors , i havent got a greenhouse and its too cold to put them out, i didnt do well with my seeds i planted loads and got a few tomatoes and 1 courgette and 1 cabbage the rest didnt germinate , i will have to plant some more but i cant find where i put my seeds
EG its a constant worry isnt it , i find it better now DD1 can drive herself around ( although we cant afford a car for her so she shares mine ) i still worry about her when she driving so she always texts me when she arrives anywhere , she has been passed a year now and doing really well. DD2 will be learning later in the year
cariad sorry to hear about your mum x

cariad I hope your mum is OK how about some of those little pots of creamed rice orcreme caramel for her that can go in the fridge in hospital.Often you really don't fancy what your offered I know I didn't when I was in there and my Dds would bring me a nice sandwich HM of course and some small bits of goodies in plastic tubs or cartons Even small boxes of juice that I could just have when i felt like it.My eldest also used to bring me a McDonalds milk shake strawberry one which was delicious and full of milk so it didn't do me much harm.I still think its the best milkshake to drink when your feeling a bit off colour.
Well I had a great day yesterday and today I'm just pottering around a bit .I also saw another old friend yesterday whom I havn't seen for yonks and bless her she's not in the best of health I posted a query about Veggie cook books but it seems to have vanished into the ether.Basically I wonder if anyone has any recommendations for a really easy peasy recipe book for Veggie food .My friend has problems lifting heavy pots and pans so the recipes have to be something she can do reasonably easily. Her health visitor said a change of diet and not eating meat may help her with her arthritis which she has quite badly in her hands .She hasn't got a great deal of cash so I would like to get her something cheap and cheerful and easy to do as I don't want to buy her anything too expensive in case it embarrassed her.Even a few easy recipes that you have maybe tried out would be good and I could print them off for her.Its so sad to see someone who you can remember being so lively and alert being so down and fed up and in pain quite a bit .My pal and I have decided we are going to try and cheer her up a bit by giving her a few different ideas and recipes that may help her a bit .PM me if you have any ideas if you don't want to put them on the forum I welcome any suggestions.
Well I have a line full of washing blowing away at the moment and a few cheesy scone in the oven.I also made an apple crumble to take with me when I go to my DDs later on for dinner.Hope you are all having a good day, schools back again tomorrow so normality will be resumed
Take care all

Cariad hossy food can be ...unappetising, to put it politely. I can't help but think my HM chocolate mousse would be a good thing to put a spot of weight on your mum.;) Anyways, my best wishes, and hope she's getting some decent pain relief now - being in pain will drain the appetite, as I know only too well!
We've just had Shepherd Spy for dins, and apple crumble for pud (my "oat" cuisine):D
Car went for MoT yesterday, and passed with flying colours; we've got to pop back next week though, for 2 new front tyres to be fitted (they didn't have the ones Mr LW prefers in stock, but can get them in for us).
Had a go on the animal charity tombola that was on in the market, and won a set of 4 champagne flutes and a pot of lavender talcum powder; also made friends with a gorgeous white Great Dane named Molly, who is an "ambassador" dog for the charity. She's also deaf, as is so often the case with white dogs.:o I could quite happily have brought her home with me!:D
I need to crowbar Mr LW off the sofa to get some tasks done now.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
