No apology needed! No hurt feelings!

I admit at times I make mistakes in my posts and happy to be corrected - my only point here was that from the OP's perspective I believe my advice was helpful if not strictly worded 100% to the letter of the law.

I suggest we leave the debate and let it get back to OP's issue.

Apologies from me to OP for the diversion. Apologies to jj for letting you think I was hurt, and thanks to jj for the apologu=y too.

    Let normal service resume.

    :)

.... Basically I want to be able to go back to him with a massive list of everything that's wrong with this tenancy agreement so any help would be appreciated
There is only one thing wrong with the tenancy agreement - it is the fact that it is Joint and Several. For that reason alone, I would not sign to be responsible with someone on HB - not that there is anything fundamentally wrong with being on HB, but it does make you responsible for the shortcomings of the HB office. And striking closer to home, but not meant unkindly, signing up with someone who has debts carries risks too.

So, given that fundamental flaw, there might not be a lot of point in finding any more issues.

Have never missed a rent payment, which at least probably contributed to the balance on my HSBC card.... :p

Housemate is now upset with us for not wanting to sign a joint tenancy agreement, even though it looks as though she did her HB claim as if she had an individual agreement, as the council want something with only her name on... :(

G_M and jj thanks for keeping me amused this evening :D
