Just for info, the sap will not provide opium in this country, too cold. Just in case anyone was expecting a raid by boys in blue or Agent Orange spray by SAS

Actually that not true the sap contains opiates wherever it grows. However there simply isn't enough of it to be of any concern to the authorities in a few poppies grown in a garden.
If you want to grow it in field though you need a licence from DEFRA.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0 -
