Hi
So how would Penryn have ITV1 twice - the default on 103 and London on
993?
Can anyone please tell me about TCM?

TCM is not a free channel you need a sky subscription to get that with the variety package
Look at the following link, all channels marked a cream (light yellow) colour are the only channel you will currently be able to get

Hi,
maybe Penryan and LULUBELLE have a SKY package.
Here's a bit of reading for you, should answer some of your questions, don't know how old it is though.0 -
Hi Lakeuk
Thanks and that's very useful.
Does anyone know if TCM has changed please? It was certainly a Free to Air programme in the list when we first had it and was one of the reasons we got the digibox in the first place (we can't get Freeview or cable).
At Christmas 2003 we watched Gone With The Wind (and other films) on TCM and it was lovely and a brilliant picture after we'd been used to analogue in a poor reception area.
Then another engineer came and TCM was gone.
Thanks

Hi frugalmacdugal
Thanks. Please could Penryan and LULUBELLE say if they have a Sky Package.
Thank you for the bit of reading which is very useful. I was attracted to the paragraph about watching on analogue cable (copied below). I explained earlier that our digibox is connected to channel 7 on our TV and all satellite progammes come off that. We still have the analogue programmes on 1, 2, 3, 4 and simply disconnect the digibox to get them but the reception is awful. When we had a new TV recently the telephone help line tried to explain to me how connect the analogue programmes with a Scart as described in your reading but they found it a bit complicated and gave up. Here is the paragraph
Watch on analogue cable
From Free: If you have ever had a cable TV service (analogue or digital), the law requires that itv-1, Channel 4 and five are kept available as an analogue service, even if you have stopped a subscription many years ago.
Most systems now use a digital TV receiver to produce the analogue picture for these channels, so the quality is good. However, it is not widescreen.
You will need a cable to connect the TV Out socket on the cable box using a suitable cable (made from parts 16-0605 and 16-0445 from https://www.rapidelectronics.co.uk) and you will have to retune your TV or video.
Because of the way that digital TV is carried on cable systems, you must connect the video and TV by a SCART cable, and tune in the video only.
Thanks again

Can't help with the technical issues, I have had cause to ring Sky on 9 occasions over the last two days - I use the 0800 number found on this site. Click on 'search to find an alternative number', type in sky. The top number on the list is the one I used. It takes you through to the same menu as when you dial their rip off number.

Hi tigs78
Thanks for that and I am signed up to that freephone number and SayNoto0870 now but Sky are still unable to help and it's soul destroying to think of all the money wasted.
Everybody on here's been brilliant in helping me work through it and I am getting there.

Hi frugalmacdugal
Thanks for that and that explains it that TCM changed from Free to Air. It was bugging me that it was there and then it was gone. Looks like it's gone forever.
If someone could please explain to me in plain language how to play my analogue programmes through the digibox as described in that article I copied into the last post to you then I would be sorted without any more money to Sky.
Thanks
