Is not vegetable oil thats the problem, its hydrogenated oil.

vegetable oil is still a blend that doesn't occur in nature and tastes disgusting but if you like it KTC vegetable oil 1 litre is £1 in Poundland.

Vegetable oil is often rapeseed oil - not a blend at all and it does occur 'in nature'. Its no more or less natural than butter - which after all doesn't come out of the cow in rectangular blocks!

In fact cold pressed rape seed oil is a great low food miles alternative to olive oils and nice and high in omega 3/ 6

    Hi

What kind of butter do you buy that doesn't have any oil or 'un natural' fats?

I am trying to improve my diet, but struggle to give up butter

    Thanks

You don't need to give up butter - as long as it's not the spreadable stuff with vegetable oil and preferably unsalted it should be pure butter. Margarine is the stuff made with chemicals and processed, and many of the health claims made for it are untrue

Your body makes cholesterol, so only if you have high cholesterol would you want to avoid products containing it. But if you were to avoid all fats your cholesterol would lower to the same degree or more than when eating a low cholesterol margarine.
