transfering programmes from pc to laptop

I think the majority of replies have been regarding licencing. I'm not sure that's what you're getting at though.

Are asking about actually transferring the application from the PC to the laptop? If you don't have the installation disk, you cannot 'transfer' the program. You will need to get the setup media.

Just to let you know the way programs are installed it is also unlikely that you can transfer any programs from the pc to your laptop you will need to install it on the laptop as it was on the desktop.

There is the odd ocasion mainly with old programs that you can just copy the folder and recreate the shortcuts but it isnt possible with things like office as they are integrated with windows on install entries in the registry and files all over the windows and windows\system/system32 directories. getting all the files and the registry entries will be almost impossible.

Where is your office install disk anyway? or is it an OEM version?
