LPG Suppliers Kent

Hi
We're new to the area of Tonbridge, Kent and have rented a property with LPG - never having used it before, we realise that we haven't got any details of who possible suppliers are in our area. Have tried a search on internet and come up with the usual Flogas and Calor bit because of everyone's reviews of them, we're loathe to select them if we can find a local independent supplier.

Any recommendations gratefully received!!

Welcome to the strange world of LPG.

If you put your postcode in http://www.uklpg.org you'll get a list of UKLPG members which will supply you. I put TN9 in - and got Calor, Flogas, BP and Avanti (formerly Shell) BUT then I remembered someone had mentioned Rose Gas as a good supplier in those parts - and also another independent had mentioned them to me. http://www.rosegas.co.uk/index.html and 01825 732 655. I hope you're in their delivery area - if so please let us know the price ... and how you get on if you use them (just add a post to the Bulk LPG ... sticky here).

Thanks for the information - I have sent an enquiry - our postcode of TN12 is not listed but the next village along is so you never know - I'll feedback any updates.

It might also be worth giving Avanti (formerly Shell) a call as I believe they also a distribution depot at Horsham, which is just about within a sensible delivery radius (They did also have a depot at Horham, but I think that is now defunct).

Although one of the "bigger" players, Shell probably had a better reputation than the other three (Flogas, Calor, and BP) prior to the sale of their business to Avanti last year. I think the personnel and structure largely changed over in tact and although it's early days, the signs are promising so far that things haven't changed dramatically.
