Thanks for the replies. Have seen a 12 plate with delivery miles, £4000 off the list price so i`m considering it. You mention car brokers? Could you point me in the direction of some please? Thanks!

  • One thing you may not like, and will take a while getting used to is the foot operated "hand" brake!

It means every time you want to put the handbrake on, say in traffic, you need to put into neutral first, trying to juggle 4 pedals with 2 feet is a pain in the bum.

My dad had a brand new 60 plate version, it got stolen after 6 months, and he wasn't overly bothered!

My error, sorry. Not used to people buying new cars as is a money saving site and buying brand new has no place here.

Some people get their cars through their employers, which will be brand new. Do these people have no place here?

I would just say, that the three to five year old C class have a bit of a reputation for electrical gremlins - drivers seat adjustment (I don't think that you can do it manually), keyless ignition, locking, windows.
They are fantastic cars to drive and to look at, but there is an awful lot to go wrong.

Worried Jim wears 2nd hand pants. Unwashed too, as it costs money to run the washer.
