Travelodge Doublebooking Scam

Booked room 8 months in advance arrived at airport hotel at 1am following delayed flight .No attempt made to contact us by phone so we could go straight to alternative hotel.Staff at new hotel surley and unhelpful, free breakfast only compensation offered. Also saver rooms are non refundable so they still get money fof no shows which must happen often,Is just greed and shows no concern for their customers.
A lot of the Travel lodges we have used recently are very tatty , they need an overhaul of policy and premesis. Will be paying the extra for Premier Inn in future. One other person was waiting for transport to another hotel and someone arrived by taxi as we were leaving so at least three rooms over booked.Good job other service providers don't have a similar policy.

Travelodges have been removed from our company booking system, I am not sure why people are so happy with their £12 rooms, most TL's are in pretty unpleasant locations - being cheap doesn't make up for being nasty in my opinion. You could probably get a night at an illegal refugee camp for £6 if thats all that matters!

OP next time your at Norwich try the Premier Inn A47 opposite the showground, its fine, the staff are nice, the restaurant next door is decent and its out of town, open air parking well placed on the major route for easy travel. I always use it.
