Ryanair threaten airport charge in response to Spanish budget

Just had email from Ryanair saying
"Ryanair has been advised by the Spanish Government of a budgetary proposal to increase airport charges later this month.
In accordance with our General Terms and Conditions of Travel* we are advising customers with a reservation that includes a flight departing from a Spanish airport that we may be forced to debit passengers for any government imposed increases in airport charges prior to your travel date.
Once the Spanish government budget is published Ryanair will advise affected passengers by email of any additional airport charges that may apply to your reservation before any charges are made."
Does anyone have any idea how much this could be?

yep i too have just had this email0 -
Palma increase is also minimal (understand tax varies dependant upon airport) with Madrid and Barcelona taking the biggest hit however as Ryanair are trying to court Palma (ie Mallorca) at the moment I can see them relaxing their extra charge (retrospectively) with regard to PMI flights. They say any publicity is good for a firm however I feel that this could well harm Ryanair (particularly if mentioned by a lot of people) as passengers are always reluctant to book with an airline who raise/threaten to raise their prices after payment.0

i am of the opinion that i have paid my monies for my flight and that is that.. i dont see why they should try and make me pay more if they do it will go further0

I've had this too. They already have my credit card details so can they just basically charge whatever amount they like to my card?0

Ryanair will say you agreed to this when you booked:
4.2.2 Taxes, fees and charges imposed on air travel are constantly changing and can be imposed after the date that your reservation has been made. If any such tax, fee or charge is introduced or increased after your reservation has been made you will be obliged to pay it (or any increase) prior to departure. Similarly, if any such tax, fee or charge is abolished or reduced such that it no longer applies to you, or a lesser amount is due, you will be entitled to claim a refund of the difference from us.0 -

Don't you just love that they can debit what they want for an increase but you have to 'claim' a decrease (presumably minus any admin fee).
The joys of the small print0 -
If the increase is only a 'few' cents it might cost them more to collect it than it is worth.
Knowing good old Michael he might see a golden opportunity for some more free publicity.0 -
It is legislated re vat increase so I guess this is the same, no idea how much though0

Dont you think Ryain Air can take the small hit for its customers after all they did charge me £24 admin fee each way just to book with them. so they are already £48 up!! for nothing!! knowing them whatever the price increase is at the airports Ryan Air will double or treable it before passing onto the customer!! or charge an admin fee on top!0
