You'd complain to whoever sold you the ppi policy, not who provided the loan. It sounds like it was the dealership? If so it's long before they were regulated, plus they no longer exist. You have no one to complain to.

My paperwork clearly states ppi could I claim from Vauxhall Finance or GMC other than the dealership who sold me the car. Surely someone is liable maybe Finance company or insurance underwriter.

The party which is liable no longer exists.

You can't accuse someone of mis selling if they never mis sold.

The garage was a Vauxhall dealership it did not go bust, due to family not wanting to take over the business after the main director retired. Surely anyone who bought a car or had Finance from them this would have been transferred to Vauxhall or GMAC as if the vehicle had a fault who would you go to then?
