Morning All,
((( hugs for Tru & Bitsy)))
Not much OS going on by me so not much to report lately, Family are keeping the OS show going tho'. I have decided that I would rather use my spoons up on stuff I like to do so have adopted the" whip cracking manager" stance as mentioned previously on here
so menu planning & allocation of chores is my bag & the physical stuff is down to the other 3 adults in the house. Apart from a bit of initial grumbling from the ya's it seems to be working quite well so far.
Hope everybody has a good Friday the 13th & the weekend to follow,
Hugs & spoons where required x

Good Afternoon all,
Hope everyone's Friday 13th is going well so far.........this is prob the one day i'm not particularly superstitious about!
Was sitting here reading all other posts thinking I havent got much OS to tell you about, but then I realised I was eating my homemade-leftover-from-easter-sunday-lunch-soup along with my HM bread! Silly me
This week I have made 2 french sticks and frozen them (much to OH disgust!) and have eaten my carrotts that I grew in my tiny veg patch at the old house. They were very nice.
I have been mostly cursing my new house this week as we seem to be having one problem after another at the minute, and heamorraging money left, right and centre. Yesterday I got home to find the cavalry (my parents & their neighbour/best friend) fixing the boiler that had broken on us - again, only to be told that the shower that had tripped the electrics the night before (coincidentally after I'd taken a bit longer than I should in the shower
) had indeed broken beyond repair and that we needed a new one. So good ole mum managed to scour the internet whilst I had a hissy fit at my OH for making me buy a house instead of renting (I do this a lot at the min, he knows I dont really mean it!) and she managed to find us a like for like replacement for £150. Said shower has arrived this morning and will hopefully be fitted tomorrow by a very helpful George (parents neighbour/best friend).
So it seems that I will in fact be going very OS tonight and having a squaddie wash before I go out for a couple of drinks with my neices mum!
Makes me realise how much we rely on modern conveniences, although we try not to where possible!
The water butt we brought with some arg*s vouchers someone had kindly given us as a moving in gift, is still not fitted as its a case of square peg/round hole situation with our guttering! So need to wait till we get paid and buy a different attachment. Shame really as we seem to be getting rained on immensley at the min!
This weekend I shall be working tomorrow morning (hope I dont have a bad head after tonights drinky-poo's!) then we will be painting the bathroom ceiling and trying to distress paint a mirror that I had in my old bedroom at my parents house when I was 14 and that has survived 8 house moves!!!! A little OS gold star for me I think :A :rotfl:
I hope that all those who are finding it tough lately are able to see a little light at the end of the tunnel, and I genuinely realise how lucky I am at the min (house probs or no house probs!)
Take Care Y'all
Lou xBut I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!

Evening all,
Had a really nice day to-day with DD4 doing some clearing in the garden, sun was shining, we haven't seen much of each other during school holidays, but we both really enjoyed our pottering....sadly, there is a lot more work needs to be done, but maybe can get some done each day.
Bitsy...sorry to hear about your grandad.
Tru...hugs.
Made some nice bread over last few days...have a slight problem with the paddle of the BM, although it is always washed in dishwasher, it seems to have built up some kind of black substance, which comes off on dough...anyone else had this kind of problem and found a solution for it?
Nothing exciting happening in Mean Mansions, we lead a boring life.
Hugs to all who would like one or more, sleep well and stay safe

Evening all
headache went by lunch, but came back at 3pm
resulting in one very foul mood! Went to hen do but only stayed for food cos I just felt so awful, plus the flashing lights affected my vertigo! Hoping I'll wake up in better mood.
