Hi Folks

I am in the process of buying a saloon car, but would prefer one with folding rear seats.

Is anybody aware of any saloons which have that feature? If not, where could I get that information from?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Well what cars do you like? would be a good start so we can advise.
    What price range?

I would say most recent saloon cars would have folding seats.

I think it would be hard to find a car that did not have folding seats.

    Hi

    Thanks for your speedy reply.

I have not got any cars in mind at the moment - my main priority is buying a saloon with rear folding seats. I would spend up to £15k.

At 15k I think all would have folding seats, could be wrong.

At 15K I would have an idea of a model, then go shopping/testing.

You can get a decent one for £15k. Mind you, you probably won't often need to fold the seats down.

BMW don't (assuming OP is looking at 2nd hand cars). It was a cost option (around £270 I think), and at some point around 2007 it became a no cost option, but the original purchaser still had to ask folding seats.

The Superb Mk II comes to mind as it's a saloon with a seemingly normal boot but but the rear can be opened like a hatch as well for practicality.

Why do you specifically want a saloon? (just curious)

We looked at the Passat but I didn't like the small boot opening compared to the Mondeo (which is hatchback). Much easier to get stuff into/out of the boot with a hatchback...

And with the size of the boot on these things, your shopping could easily slide to the back of the boot with something like a Passat and you practically have to climb inside to get it out.
