very cute nappies here http://www.kittykins.co.uk/kits/type/20/id/13 or http://www.kittykins.co.uk/kits/type/24/id/18 they also do cute clothes. Nappy cakes etc look lovely but you pay a lot for the packaging and often get over run with babygrows. Making up your own basket or box of things is so much nicer and better value for money. http://www.naturalbabycompany.com/ and various others do eco disposables too and if you do the free sample from each of them you can build up quite a collection ;)
Another thing to add in if they want an eco baby is organic or petroleum free baby salve as it's really expensive.

I liked the royal mint baby collection coins. They do a set of coins in circulation from year of birth ie:2007, in a baby presentation set. Have got this for both my 2, and hope it will be a reminder in years to come of our currency. (i would love to have had £1notes, half pence, the old 5 and 10ps etc that i remember from childhood)
    (about £20)
Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞

I personally think the best gift is a gift of the past and the future.

Make up a book of family pictures but with an attached story (bear in mind this child will be like us .. oh here's a picture of you in the bath).

Stories about his parents, grandparents. old pictures. bits of material from clothes, wedding dress, christening gowns, (Unless he or she is going to wear it?)

And a promise to babysit for One hour a week/month /whenever his/her parents require it and a promise to buy various toys you want to play with (men Scalectrix and trains , yes sexist)( women dolls dressing up sweet factories and shopping. But the best gift of all.. whenever you need a break. However gorgeous you're children are I guarantee x amount of hours a week ,a month or a year of babysitting.. they will love you for ever...

Make up a cracker with a promise. toilet roll middle, newspaper year of birth as outer, ribbon relevant to baby or your choice and promise inside. Parents love it.
One night of babysitting, changing nappes or just... let me sleep while you watch them is worth more than any present that may....end up at car boot sale. Sometimes all mums and dads want is the chance to have a nice bath in pieces,in peace or just in the quiet peace allowed by a loved one!!!

  • Hi,

I recently bought my brother's baby a cool gift from Kitoto

I bought a baby gift basket from them, it was well priced for all the items I received and delivered next day. Great service all round.

  • I bought one of these: organic biodegradable nappy cakes for my sister when she was expecting her first child. She loved it:D
