New baby gifts

One of the nicest prezzies I got was a home made crochet baby blanket, one of my Friends Mums made. It was baby blue, with blue ribbon around the edges, she also made matching hat, cardigan, booties and gloves.
Whenever I took the blanket out people would always comment on how nice it was.

What about these
http://www.cuski.co.uk/index.php
[STRIKE]Introducing Cuski, the super-soft baby comforter designed to soothe, calm and reassure you and your baby.
Cuski is the natural alternative for parents, who do not want their baby to use dummies or other sleeping aids.
The sense of smell is important to infants and helps them to feel secure and loved. Cuski is made of a hygroscopic material and absorbs familiar scents that reassure your baby.
To help your child to bond with Cuski, mummy or daddy sleeps with it on the first few nights to transfer their comforting scents to its super-soft material.
In the morning, give Cuski to your baby and they will naturally adopt a new friend.
Your baby will associate Cuski with reassurance and security, safe in the knowledge that mummy or daddy is always near by. [/STRIKE]0 -

For both my sister and sister in law who have had babies in the last 9 mnths, I bought a basket from Ikea and filled it with baby essentials such as nappies, baby toiletries, nail clippers, dummies, baby vests in variety of sizes to last up to 12 months (I got them in various supermarkets and took them out of the plastic packing and wrapped them up with ribbon), a couple of little outfits in different ages, scratch mittens/hat sets, a little photo frame, a couple of books for playing in the bath, teething ring, Calpol, Nappy Cream, and a Teddy. I also blanket stitched around a fllece blanket and embroidered the babies initials on.
Both my sisters loved them and have used the baskets as toy storagePay all debts by Xmas 12 # 072 £1201.79/£15,105.68:eek:
