T-Mobile: Is this a good deal?

I just renewed my contract with T Mobes... I was happy with the deal but wondered how it compared to my fellow MSErs

24 Month Contract - £7.50 p/m

600 Minutes
500 Texts
Unlimited Internet
Flexible Booster (ie: free T mobile mins / unlimited texts etc. can choose every month)

No handset included.

Last time i had to buy a new handset after the one they gave me becasme unusable after 5 months. So this time I decided to keep my current high end handset and replace it from a 3rd party or ebay when it gets too old.

What do you guys think? The usage is everything I ned, the biggest downer IMO is the 24 month aspect.

  • You need to ask yourself if that’s a good deal for you.
To me that deal does not look good over 24 months. Over 12 then fine. The txt bundle is only small which (if you txt) will force you to use your flexible booster on the txt. Plus I assume MMS will cost you 25p every one you send unless you use whatsapp if you/friends use it or imessage etc...
I would also watch out when buying phones on ebay and most of the time you pay only a little more to buy them new sim free especially via sites such as UKhotdeals (and quidco). Some of the iphone 4s prices on ebay are ridiculous.
  • Hmm interesting. The mins and texts are fine and have been for the last 2 years. I only text people like my mum as all my friends are on whatsapp. I hardly ever go over 200 texts or 500 mins in a month, so theres plenty of leway. the flexy b I usually have on unlmited t mobile mins i think.

iphone prices are always going to be high becuase apple supply them at such a high price.. apple products are probably the ones you will always be LEAST likely to get any discount on.. becuase theyre so popular!

This is in fact the same deal ive been on for the last 2 years, except then it was £15 p/m so theyve halved the price.

I would have argued it down to a 12 month plan to be honest especially if you are not asking for a handset. As I said it fits your lifestyle so it’s a good plan for you and as long as you are happy.
Most of my friends are on whatsapp and I now use it more than txt/mms messages via tmobile!!
