Is this possible? Two ISA accounts.

I have all my money in a Santander ISA but haven't used any of this years allowance yet. Also the rate has just dropped to very low so I need to move the money.

I was wondering if I can split the money so that not all my cash is with one bank i.e. open a new account and transfer half and also open a new Santander account and transfer the other half, both without actually adding to this years allowance.

Does anyone know if this is possible or can you not open two different ISA accounts in one year?

This should be possible - as long as all providers involved allow "partial transfers".

You can open as many ISAs as you like per year - it is only "subscriptions" (paying new money in) that is controlled. You can subscribe to only one cash ISA per year. Opening an ISA to receive a transfer does not affect that.
