well there were 3 in my family as kids and no washing machine so how did my poor old mum cope?
you are moaning about nothing with 2 kids maybe change their diets or if they are now 4 should be potty trained0 -
I'd make a weekly run to the tip if it was me. And before anyone says "why should i because i pay my council tax !!" personally i wouldn't want 2 weeks worth of nappies festering anywhere near my house ! Especially in the summer ! We've had fortnightly collections for years now, you get used to it.0

Then use both. The bin emptiers don't know who should have 2 bins.
i don't know if this would work where i live as bins are left outside your property and I'm pretty sure our bin men can count. its either trips to the tip, or do the wheely bin compacting dance'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0 -
Aberdeenshire council caught onto the fact that people were putting out an extra bin on the sly so they replaced all the "approved" 2nd bins with ones with a purple lid. A few weeks later anyone putting out 2 black bins got a bill for extra collections.
I get their logic but the new bins they issued are half the size of a normal bin so we're back to struggling with extra waste again0 -

This might not work. My mother was entitled to 2nd bin when all kids lived at home. We moved house so she took second bin with us. They refused to collect 2 bins from the new address. She contacted them to let them know how meny were in the household and new house was put on list for 2nd bin.Sealed Pot Challenge 2011 #11480 -
Didn't Comedy Dave say 2 weekly collections would be a thing of the past under the Coalition Government. Or was this just another of his many lies?[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

I don't know, how did she cope? I'd assume she was stressed out and irritable for most of your childhood, which is reflected in your personality issues today.
I also presume you don't have kids.0 -
Is your bin a small one or a large one? Here we all have a big one unless it's older people or small households that have requested a smaller one because it's easy to move. To be honest, I don't see how it wouldn't all fit if you do have one of the bigger ones. I assume you have tried pressing it all down, can normally get one more bag in that way!
Also - 70 nappies?? Newborn twins? But newborns have tinie tiny nappies. Our one year old is changed on waking, lunchtime and bed as standard plus any poos and sometimes tea time if she has drunk a lot so min 3 a day max 5 or 6. I think that is what most people do. Do you need to change as often as you are?
Other than that, I guess you have to take it to the tip or talk to a neighbour.0 -
Also - 70 nappies??
2 babies x 6 nappies/day x 7 days a week x 2 weeks = 168 nappies!!
Let's just hope they both don't come down with a stomach bug!
Could you try changing your shopping habits so you have NOTHING else to put in the bin?
Return non recyclable packaging to the supermarket?
Go out more and use public bins!?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
